Abstract

In this article the authors introduce the Flight Management  System (FMS). After a short introduction, the functions and  structure of the FMS are presented. Then we describe the  elements and types of the system, as well as their basic  operation. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive, easy-to- understand summary of the flight management systems.
