doi: 10.32560/rk.2020.3.3

Abstract

In this paper the authors examine the applicability of unmanned aerial vehicles in the field of public service. In  addition to the examination of the application areas so far,  the possibilities of the future application areas based on  trends are also discussed. The main research question was to find out which critical infrastructures, or other priority  areas can be operationally monitored by unmanned aerial  vehicles (UAVs) to support day-to-day operations. As a  result of the study, photovoltaic solar power plants,  facilities involved in energy production and the waste  management area were also identified as target areas. The  former can be excellent test areas for the operational and  remote monitoring functions of unmanned aerial vehicles.
