The UAV Market’s Major Influencing Factors

Abstract

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles are suitable for wide variety of missions and the range of their applicability is increasing. This is the reason why both the government and the civil market opportunities have been expanding, and they represent a new and developing market. In the case of UAVs the military market is dominant, which is natural, because as usual for all new technologies, the first applications and developments adjust to military sphere’s demands. In others, especially in civil applications they usually appear later, for which one of the significant causes would be the cost of expenses. The objective of writing this article is to explore the regulatory, safety, economic and technological factors which could play a central role in the slow development of this market.
