Abstract

Gas turbine engines are the primary powerplants for civil and military aircraft, thus the well-founded knowledge about their operation is essential for the aeronautical engineers. The TKT-1 turbojet engine has been created to meet the goals of education and scientific investigations; it supplements the theoretical part of both BSc and MSc and it provides useful practical know-how for the students. Therefore, its continued development is an elementary interest which should clearly follow the widely spread solutions of the industry. The aim of the present article is to describe the recently introduced limited authority control system, which provides a control based on the Engine Pressure Ratio (EPR), along with the necessary refinements of the data acquisition system.
