Applied Method for Visibility Forecast

Abstract

There are plenty weather elements which are important, but not produced directly by the NWP model. Such as the visibility forecast at the airport. Suitable accuracy of the visibility prediction in aviation meteorology is the prominent and the ICAO regulators are very rigorous. In present days there is not enough good visibility forecast method in Hungary. This paper is an overall review of different visibility forecast method in the world with examples. By the help of this review there is a chance to organize a new visibility forecast system at the Hungarian military airports.
