Abstract

Despite the short history of aviation, air freight shipment shows continuous development, obtaining more and more area for the members of civil sphere and economic sector. First of all this development is continuous owing to the wide range of solutions given for the shipments which require special treatment/handling. Air and combined air freight shipment serves as an alternative mainly for long distances and prompt deliveries. Air shipment is feasible besides high cost levels and geographical restrictions, at the same time in several cases it serves as a sole solution for the in-time delivery of time-critical shipments.
