Lighting Protection for the Landbase and Flying Objects of Aviation

Abstract

In this article the authors analyse the lightning as one of the source of the hazard for landbased and flying objects of the aviation. They make known the meteorological phenomenon as the reason of the lightning effect. Given detailed review of the lightning phenomenon’s physical parameters, and the effect of the lighting such as electrical, mechanical, and thermal influence, which cause the destruction into the objects of avaition. This article shows in details the surge protection devices and the lightning protection as the possibilities of the protection. Authors make it clear, that the any protection can be effective only the way, if those are correctly designed and shceduled form the design to the maintanace.
