Components and Criterions of the Current Helicopter Instrument Flight Training Transformation

Abstract

Helicopter forces are involved in many components of the system of tasks of the Hungarian Home Defense Forces. It is a vital question though, that what kind of capability level they can represent during the joint operations. Obviously, the capability level of a given helicopter force built on several components, one of which subarea is the VFR flying ability under IMC conditions. Writing this article, my goal is to analyze the current IFR related training and juristic documentation, to formulate proposals on changing them in order to increase helicopter crew’s operational capabilities.
