Abstract
Unmanned aerial vehicles are a significant type of military equipment in recent warfare. Their structure and functions are almost the same as those of manned airplanes and helicopters. The first part of the article deals with the main categories of aircraft types and the main features of unmanned devices. The author sums up the basics of the theory of flight in the second part of the article, namely the fundamental laws of the dynamics of flows, aerodynamic forces and characteristics, and the theory of finite wings.
