Proposal for the Noise Impact Assessment of Unmanned Aircrafts

Abstract

Currently, there exists no international standard method for the assessment of the noise impact of drones. Due to the differences in national classification systems, this task is not easy. However, national regulations clearly show that military and civil uses should be separately regulated. When developing noise measurement methods and noise rating schemes, the basis for such rating should be based on fuselage structure, mechanical drive, “propulsion unit” position, and maximum take off mass.
