New Dimension in Flexible Use of Airspace

Abstract

This paper summarizes the fundaments of Airspace Management, challenges of affected users and problems of the use of airspace, as well as airspace management needs, imposed by both state and civil parties. The authors present one of the solutions of Single European Sky ATM Research: Local and sub-regional airspace management system and also analyse the role of flexible operational-general use of airspace.
