Advantages of the Remote Tower Technology in Civil and Military Aviation

Abstract

The remote tower intelligent technology can provide smart approach to air traffic services by digitalizing and integrating certain airport functions. It can also provide solutions for the geographical independence of air traffic control from supported airport. The article introduces the international civil R&D concepts and also the Hungarian civil-military cooperation which aims to find disentanglement for domestic and deployable military remote tower operation.
