doi: 10.32562/mkk.2019.2.13

Abstract

In this paper, statistical data of the last decade is presented. According to these data, acomprehensive view is given about how the change in the number of residential houses and in the population affect the number of fire cases. Tendencies can be determined by analysis, and also how the way of living affects fire protection. The valid standards (National Fire Safety Codes and Standards, Fire Protection Technical Guideline) can hardly follow the improvement of construction materials, although they are developed constantly. This can lead to incorrect calculation of fire loads.
