Presentation of the Rescue System of the Republic of South Africa from the Fire Fighters' Point of View

Abstract

Because of the natural features of the Republic of South Africa, large areas need to be bridged by the intervention crew. Damages caused by climate change, massive amounts of vehicles used by people living in big cities and high crime rates are real challenges for the rescue professionals. Interventions could be carried out only by coordinated, well-organized management. Criminality hampers interventions.They pay great attention to disaster management.
