Historical Overview of Defense Objects, Installations and Developments in the Development of Instruments
Abstract
Border protection and border guarding in the traditional sense has been constantly evolving throughout history, but its mode, structure and organizational structure have always been adapted to the given natural and environmental factors and obstacles. In the course of our history, for the purpose of defense, a number of solutions have been applied from initial, simple territorial defense to modern border guarding. During the development of border protection, ancient and early medieval boundaries were gradually replaced by point-like fortress and fortress systems, and lateral boundary objects. In the following pages, in the light of the obstacles to movement, I wanted to present this development - giving a brief historical overview - highlighting the most important border protection solutions I have seen.
