Az olvasástámogató és biblioterápiás kezdeményezések szerepe a büntetésvégrehajtási intézetekben külföldön és hazánkban

Absztrakt
Bevezetés: A büntetés-végrehajtási intézetekben megvalósuló olvasástámogató és biblioterápiás kezdeményezések hatásai szerteágazók, ezek a pozitív hatások közvetett módon akár hozzájárulhatnak a fogvatartottak társadalomba való visszailleszkedéséhez is.
Célkitűzés: Tanulmányomban a börtönben működő olvasástámogató programok és biblioterápiai csoportok vizsgálatát tűztem ki célul, amelyek a fogvatartottak készségeinek fejlesztése, szorongásának csökkentése és számos egyéb pozitív hatás következtében hozzájárulhatnak ahhoz, hogy könnyebben átvészeljék a börtönben töltött időszakot, emellett formálódjon személyiségük is. A biblioterápia börtönben betöltött szerepének bemutatása mellett konkrét példákon keresztül kitérek arra, milyen kezdeményezések jelentek meg világszerte, illetve hazánkban ezen a területen.
Módszer: A téma alapos megismeréséhez felkutattam a büntetés-végrehajtási intézetekben megvalósuló olvasástámogató és biblioterápiás kezdeményezésekre vonatkozó hazai és nemzetközi tudományos szakirodalmat, főleg a téma pszichológiai és kriminológiai vetületét vizsgálva.
Következtetések: A tanulmány legfőbb értéke a téma szakirodalmi hátterének feldolgozása mellett annak bemutatása, milyen pozitív hatásai vannak az olvasástámogató és biblioterápiás foglalkozásoknak a börtönben. A zárkából való kiszabadulás, szociális kapcsolatok létesítése mellett ezen programok hatására jellemzően javul a fogvatartottak általános hangulata, csökken a szorongásuk szintje, fejlődik a kommunikációs és az érzelemkifejező készségük is.
