Abstract

Terje Aven's article is one of the masic studies in the contemporary risk definition. It desciphrates and explaines the historic development of the risk concept and adds new ideas to the risk definition and its management. amongst these ideas one of the most importants is the time factor and the presentation of its applicability in risk management. This is the poit that makes Aven's study a valuable one for the law enforcement sciences.
