The Problems and Practical Experiences of Teaching Civil Law Subjects

Abstract

The “Civil Law in the Field of Law Enforcement” subject includes those parts of the civil law which are absolute necessary for the students of the law enforcement faculty. The legal institutions of the civil law form the background information for other subjects. The knowledge of civil law improves the quality of the students’ professional work, and helps the students to solve legal problems which are occurring during their everyday life. Considering the fact that the subject is not a so called “professional subject”, it is at a disadvantage concerning the teaching hours and attitude of the students. Civil law is undeservedly subsidiary. In order to teach students the required knowledge, it is necessary to use various pedagogical and educational methods during the subject’s studium.
