Abstract
This paper presents the development and antecedents of modern forensic sciences. The persecution and retaliation of crime are coeval with human societies, yet there are no modern forensic sciences until the end of the 19th century. The development of criminal procedure and the sciences, the formation of professional law enforcement agencies, and the changes of crime have affected each other to form the modern forensic sciences.
