Abstract

After Hungary lost World War I and the Trianon Peace Treaty was proclaimed in the Parliament, the country faced a task that was one of the most difficult ones in its history. Hungary’s territory was significantly reduced and the country had to be reorganised. Among these organisational
tasks, the paper presents how the guarding of the new state borders began, how the state institutions had to be established for guarding these borders and what sort of legislations were created respectively.
