The Current Psychological Perspectives of Migration
Abstract
This study provided a complex picture on the current main research directions of psychology, qualifying migration basically as a crisis provoking factor. As the starting point coincides with the main recognition of the science of psychology – according to which the personality changes as a result of migration - but it is not standard in the approaches, the analysis shall be performed from different aspects. The issue is dealt with by several branches of psychology, principally by psychological anthropology, cultural psychology and cultural comparative psychology. Due to the crossing of the research areas and the multidimensional and complex nature of the topic, the scientific explanations are expressed among interdisciplinary frameworks.
