The Administrative Criminal Law Department has a short history, and it is as old as the National University of Public Service and its Faculty of Law Enforcement. The department’s primary focus is on the education of Infraction law at the Faculty of Law Enforcement and the education of administrative criminal law at the Faculty of Public Administration. Moreover, the department focuses on other courses in fewer sessions (for example: law enforcement administration, administrative policing, and European administrative criminal law). In addition to the theoretical training – as a preparation in order to put law into practice – in practical sessions (at police stations) students can learn and acquire the rules and techniques related to their prospective work. Toprovide a background for these sessions, the department maintains an excellent professional relationship with the National Police Headquarters, the Budapest Police Headquarter Division of Administration, and with the division of administration of the Budapest police districts. One of the main priorities of the department is the strengthening of the teaching staff and the participation of students in the academic ife. The report fully details the educational method of the two faculties at the Administrative Criminal Law Department.
