Current Issues of Hungarian Law Enforcement Officer’s Training and Selection

Abstract

From the end of the 20th century, as an effect of the accelerated social, economic and technological changes, the modern leader has to solve more and more tasks and make responsible decisions with less and less resources. This also applies to the area of law enforcement. Therefore the process and quality of the law enforcement officers’ training is becoming emphatic and important. In this paper I present the current state of the law enforcement management training in Hungary, covering the legal background and the operation of the leadership training system too.
