Criminal Geographical Analysis of Budapest Between 2009–2012

Abstract

This essay analyzed the criminal statistical data of the Budapest Police Headquarters from 2009 and 2012 comparing with the values of eight different regional centers. From the aspect of the main frequency indicators the capital is the most affected among the analyzed cities. Though it has to be mentioned that the outer districts of the capital are significantly less affected by crime than its inside districts. Comparing the criminal data of Budapest with those of Vienna, Warsaw and Prague, it can be concluded that as regards delicts less crime is committed in the Hungarian capital than in the other capitals.
