The Operation and Legislation of Protection Committees in Time of Emergency

Abstract

I would like to analyse the main aims of protection committees in light of the new legislation. Protection committees have two main purposes: to prepare for possible disasters and emergency situations and to alleviate the effects of disasters by damage control and restoration. The responsibilities of protection committees can be classified according to the above mentioned criteria. I try to show the structure, operation and method of both the territorial and local protection committees while also shedding some light on the problems at the end of my paper.
