The New Public Service Career from the Viewpoint of Inter-organizational Mobility
Abstract
The question of inter-organizational mobility within the public sector is strongly related to the regulation of the civil service sector. The debate has been going on for decades about a standard regulation and there are convincing arguments pro and con. The Zoltan Magyary Public Administration Development Program (11.0) has set itself the objective to harmonize the career paths of the public administration, the law enforcement and the national defence services. This paper analyses the results of this project and raises questions for the future.
