The Role of the Journal “Belügyi Szemle” (Interior Review) in the Ideological Struggle until the Hungarian Change of Regime

Abstract

As we can experience today the Cold War, unfortunately, did not end with the collapse of the polarized world system or with EU and NATO memberships. What is more, the classic ideologicaltheoretical cold-war struggle that once divided Europe and the world has revived as a result of the Ukrainian crisis. What were the characteristics of this old psychological, propaganda war and what methods were used as described in the articles of the Interior Review (Belügyi Szemle)? Can conclusions be drawn for today’s situation?
