Evaluation of the 2013 and 2014 Balaton Sound Festival from a Public Safety Prospective
Abstract
The 2013 and 2014 Balaton Sound Festivals were different in size and in security resources from the earlier festivals. The research introduces the crime statistics and dynamics of the festivals and their effect on the local community (especially on the host city of Zamardi). Furthermore, it shows the effectiveness of the local and deployed police force, civil organizers and volunteers. The objective of the research is to help planning future events with greater security for the visitors and the local community.
