Győző Concha, an Outstanding Law Enforcement Scholar

Abstract

In the last one and a half hundred years lots of excellent jurists have contributed to the development of the Hungarian Law Enforcement. Győző Concha, who gave his academic inaugural address entitled “The nature and stand of the police in a free state” in 1901 becoming a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, excels among them. In his main work entitled Politics II. (1905) he dedicated a lot of thought to the issues of law enforcement, policing and emergencies in law enforcement, which has been affecting researchers and scholars of law enforcement theory.
