People’s Subjective Sense of Safety, Public Safety and the Police

  • Mátyás Szabolcs

Abstract

The author conducted a similar survey in the territory of Debrecen in 2010. Similarly, this survey mainly aims to compare the subjective sense of safety, latency and — in case of the European Union and five regional centres (Debrecen, Miskolc, Szeged, Pécs, Győr) — public safety, too. First, the survey tries to check whether the strong territorial differences between the different parts of Debrecen regarding the above mentioned topics still exist. Furthermore, the survey intends to identify the reasons of changes in connection with the above mentioned topics, if there have been any changes.
