Abstract

The book entitled Victims and Criminal Justice is concerned with the process of becoming a victim and its associated issues, such as latency, fear, the effects of the media and the media’s impact on the citizens’ feeling of security; the victims’ role and opportunities in the justice system and the question restorative justice. In the nine chapters, in addition to theory, we can read about the results of numerous criminology and victimology studies, a significant proportion of which had been conducted with the participation of the author at the National Institute of Criminology.
