Abstract

This study gives an overview on foreign drone laws. The rules of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) use show different levels of control. There are countries, where it is totally missing yet, or the law is not comprehensive, deficient. The trend is obviously the more strict regulation, and creating global standards covering the main areas: rules on safety authorisations, controls on privacy and data protection, a clear framework for liability and insurance, controls to ensure security, supporting new industry. It is an important fact, that drones are also being deployed in a small, but growing number of law enforcement operations.
