Abstract

In the last few years drones have become more and more widespread in the world. Unmanned air vehicles (UAVs), which can also be remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAs), are very popular and they have an infinite number of using possibilities (commercial, governmental, recreational, hobby, etc.). The legislation of drones is often deficient or not non-existent, which is the case in Hungary. The legislation process has several difficulties: size, equipment, terminology. The first part of this study presents the Hungarian situation especially focusing on data protection. The second part gives an overview on drone legislation in other countries.
