Uniforms, Equipment and Weapons of the Hungarian Police II. (1861—1896)

Abstract

This writing is the second part of a comprehensive study. For the first part see Gábor Androvicz (2016): Uniforms, Equipment and Weapons of the Hungarian Police I. (1861—1896). In: Magyar Rendészet, Vol. 14. No. 4. The study was written to present the standard uniforms, equipment and service weaponry of the Hungarian Police between 1861 and 1945. No comprehensive police history work has been written about this subject until this time, except for a few sub-studies. The sources include not only the detailed and taxative uniform regulations of this period, but also the available monographs and the related materials of the professional police press as well.
