Kaliningrad, the Scene of Conflicts and Reconciliation

Abstract

The subject of this publication is understanding the problems associated with the creation of the Kaliningrad area. The Russian exclave has a unique geopolitical situation, which means opportunities, but at the same time can result in difficulties for both the Russian Federation and the European Union, as it may be regarded by the bordering EU Member States as a potential war threat. The publication discusses historical, military-political, economic and public safety aspects.
