Leaving Prison – Andragogy for Reintegration
Abstract
In Hungary there are approximately 18,000 people living in prison and more than 50 percent of the released get into jail again. Inmates are absent from their families; they are excluded from the labour market. Detachment from society makes their reintegration more difficult. This doctoral research project aims to develop a program for the motivation of adult prisoners to take responsibility for their own successful reintegration.
