How Law Enforcement Journals Impact Policing

Abstract

Contemporary periodicals discussing law enforcement theory have always played a decisive role in the development of Hungarian police science. Our first special law enforcement journal titled Public Safety gave experts the opportunity to publish professional articles on law enforcement, even before the state police force was established. The special periodicals discussing the theory and practice of law enforcement have been present in police education as important resources and have provided a forum for conducting scholarly debates, for delivering high-standard professional essays to the experts of the field on law enforcement.
