What is the highest speed of data we can transmit on a non existing channel?
(Data transmission test for long range wireless Point-to-Point connections)
Abstract
The ever faster wireless data transfer is an indispensable tool for today’s communication. Its process is complicated, performance depends on many parameters and examination is a complex task. From the user’s point of view, the quality of the service is of primary importance. That is why it is important to find a quick and easy way to measure this. In my publication, I introduce a method (designed by me) of measuring data transfer based on 802.11n standard and IP, with easy-to-use tools and open source software. So, this way the test is easily reproducible for others and the results can be compared.
