Abstract

The safe and proper use of buildings is ensured by the continuous maintenance of the level of the fire protection status. The main purpose of the study is to identify the main domestic factors guaranteeing this. The study is based on the analysis of the related regulations, with particular regard to the special requirements of fire protection documentation and the requirements for the personnel, as well as the involvement of the authorities. The analysis uses the classification system of the typical life stages of buildings. The results of the study hopefully form the basis for maintaining the fire protection model. At the same time, the study collects the main fire risk factors taken into account in Hungary and makes suggestions for further directions of research, and for ways of optimising the regulations.
