Abstract
The hidden economy is a very complex economic phenomenon. The hidden economy can be detrimental considering the real, so-called "white economy". Hidden economies require increasing attention due to their internal dynamics, and their operation is a coordinated response both nationally and internationally. The ratio of black economy in Hungary is also high according to international practice. One of the well-identified areas of the hidden economy is undeclared work. The employer's obligation is to keep the working time records properly and it is responsible for keeping the records factual, real and complete. We have many access control systems that are one of the key areas of electronic protection, but are also capable of keeping track of working time records. Different systems have both advantages and disadvantages, and their methods of abuses are different. In any case, the expectation in case of a good system is that, in addition to ensuring an adequate protection and keeping regular records of working time that it should also help to reduce undeclared work.
