Relations Between Public Hazard Education and Rural Security

Abstract

Today, changing security environment requires effective preparation and dynamic development from organizations involved in security and from citizens alike. In order to respond the consequences of natural and technological disasters effectively, emphasis should be placed on appropriate disaster preparedness. In Hungary, an integrated disaster management organization was set up in 2012, with high importance of public hazard education in its task system. In the sustainment of rural security, public education of disaster management plays a prominent role. I find it extremely important to explore and examine relations between hazard education and rural security, as well as other related areas which is presented in this paper. Scientific research based on hazard education and the designation of future development directions is essential to address the challenges which have to be faced. Therefore, with these research results, I want to contribute to the success of hazard education and to increasing rural security.
