Inspection and Improvement of Changes in Hazardous Activities

Abstract

One of the most important instrument for preventing of major accidents involving dangerous substances is the effective operation of the safety management system.
In this article the author outlines the actual challenges associated with the management of technical, organizational and personal changes and his proposals for overcoming them in the light of the experiences gained from recent near-misses involving dangerous substances.
