The Age of Change in Flood Protection

Abstract

In the ever-changing conditions of the Hungarian water management, due to the increasing extremes that can be derived from climate change, a new direction must be taken in water damage prevention activities. Hungary is heavily exposed to the upstream countries in respect of water management. The structural and non-structural flood prevention measures in the upstream countries directly affect the Hungarian water management. Apart from the presentation of the changes, I would also like to suggest a solution to the problem in this article.
