Abstract
The exoskeleton is a wearable, human-controlled device with several application areas. The first device was developed by the military in order to increase the load capacity and efficiency of soldiers. Similarly to many other technical innovations, its development has been going on and therefore its application areas are widely expanded. The essence of its operation are sensors placed in the exterior frame, which perceive our motion. Exoskeletons significantly increase our strength, therefore, we are able to cover longer distances and move great masses easily with them. In my paper, I review the civil applications of exoskeletons, focusing on industrial and medical uses. My goal is to explore and present the opportunities of everyday usage of exoskeletons thus promoting the widespread use of the device.
