Abstract
László Lukács – whom I may call as a friend – has a venerable professional military career. He graduated from the Kossuth Lajos Military College, when I started it, and in a very short period of time, he was already lecturer there. Explosions and obstacles are his main professional interests, and what is worth knowing in these fields, he already does. What is even more important is that he is willing to share his extensive knowledge with anybody interested in these fields. His 235 works in the Hungarian Scientific Bibliography illustrate his contributions in sharing knowledge. A true soldier and a true teacher, whose every word comes off as authentic. I was first his student, and later his colleague at the Zrínyi Miklós Military Academy, the Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University, the University of Public Service and he took over the deputy commander role from me in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the Hungarian Engineering Contingent. On the following pages – as we have joint memories there – we are showcasing a slice of Bosnia-Herzegovina history. As the Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić (1892–1975) calls it, we are talking about the “storyteller Bosnia”.
