Investigation of the Self-ignition Tendency of CGF Pellets by an Indirect Method

doi: 10.32562/mkk.2022.1.9

Abstract

The use of fodder pellets in large-scale livestock farming is subject to considerable quantitative indicators, which is accompanied by the emergence of large storage capacities and periods of up to a considerable duration, taking into account the growing seasons of maize in CGF pellets.
After their production in the pelletization process, during storage, unfavourable transformations of indicators important for animal husbandry may occur due to the visible self-ignition processes. The critical thermal characteristics identified in the study of the self-ignition tendency presented below, which make the decomposition processes leading to this recognisable, were established
by an indirect method, confirming the results correlating with the published industrial experience.
