Waste Pollution of the Tisza River

Abstract

In recent years, the pollution of the river Tisza reached a level never seen before. Pollution management, mostly of foreign origin, is now an inevitable task. The article gives a comprehensive overview of the situation, the historical social background, the international and domestic aspects of waste management, and the legal environment. The author analyses the steps and results of the administrative and civil sphere so far to deal with pollution, examining the development of a possible permanent collection site.
