Risk Analysis of CFD Simulation Process

doi: 10.32562/mkk.2021.3.6

Abstract

CFD simulations are widely used in numerous areas of the industry to study the flow and transport phenomena of fluids. The reason for this is that in the development process it is not necessary to produce expensive prototypes, and parameters that cannot be examined by laboratory measurements can also be tested. Besides, CFD simulations also provide a wide range of applications for the military industry. The article presents the process and steps of CFD simulations, followed by a risk analysis for the process. The risk analysis for CFD simulations helps to reveal the critical steps and outcomes of the process and also shows the development potential inherent in the simulation process.
