EOD Experience of Low Water Phases of the Danube in 2018

Abstract

The Danube is one of the most important rivers of Europe. In Hungary, the Danube has a significant role in society, economy and culture. It is important to understand the background of the several low water phases of the river, and their possible effects on EOD tasks. Analysis of EOD statistics 2018 provides a proper basis for collecting the necessary information. The information may help to render safe procedures of unexploded ordnances found in the Danube, and could also advantageously contribute to organising EOD tasks.
