The Solution of the Boundary-Condition Problem of an Unlimited Half-Plane with Arbitrary Curve Using the Poisson Integral

Abstract

This paper shows an approximate method for calculating the tension-function capable of determining the stress and deformation conditions of an unlimited half-plane with arbitrary border curve. The definition of the problem is general enough for this approximate method to be applied to solve a lot of practical problems. The formulas shown are suitable for computer programming. The accuracy of the calculated results can be improved by increasing the number of points taken.
